Canterbury forward Lee Te Maari has been sacked by the Bulldogs after repeatedly breaching the club's code of conduct.

Te Maari was charged with a range of driving offences last week, including driving without a license.

CEO Todd Greenberg said the club was left with little choice but to terminate the 24-year-old's contract.

"All players have a clear understanding of the standards of behaviour required to be a part of this club," Greenberg said in a statement.

"Lee has failed to meet our expectations in this regard and we no longer require his services."

Te Maari has played 32 NRL matches for the Dragons and the Bulldogs since making his debut in the 2006 season.
