Last Saturday 13th March the Catalan Ruby League Association (ACRL) signed a collaboration agreement with the Rosselló Committee of rugby league and the French Federation of rugby league (FFR13) in Perpinyà.

There is a spreading agreement between the entities in both areas of the Pyrenees and the ACRL will receive formation for trainers, players and referees.

The agreement was signed by the ACRL president, Mr. Sergi Blàzquez and the Rosselló Committee of rugby league, Mr. Michel Pianelli. It was also guaranteed by the FFR13 Mr. Guy Laforgue (vicepresident) and the implicated governments, Mr. Josep Saguer (Generalitat de Catalunya) and Mr. Louis Caseilles (Conseil General des PO).

In Mr. Blàzquez opinion this signing means “a step to consolidate and reinforce the ACRL and the national team with other country federations” and declares that “the agreement will help us to promote and improve our selection of rugby league”. It’s important to emphasize the international nature of the agreement with the FFR13 and the government involvement, French and Catalan.

The Rosselló Committee, lead by its president Mr. Michel Pianelli, was the key part to sign this agreement with the absolutely understanding by both parts. Once again, Catalonia and its rugby league is getting international reinforce.
