Sportal ![]() Gold Coast forward Bodene Thompson will miss three matches after pleading guilty to a high shot that left Canberra's Travis Waddell with a broken jaw. The Titans backrower was staring at a month on the sideline had he fought the charge at the judiciary and lost. Waddell is booked for surgery on Tuesday to repair his jaw, broken on both sides after an attempted shoulder charge from Thompson went wrong. Thompson will miss matches against North Queensland, Melbourne and St George Illawarra. Newcastle prop Mark Taufua is free to play against Penrith on Sunday after accepting an early guilty plea to a grade one striking charge.
