Serbian Rugby League Championship - Update

After three rounds of the seven-team Serbian RL Championship, three sides remain unbeaten.



Newcomers Radniki head the table on point’s difference, defeating Podbara 44-30 in Nova Pazova in the Vojvodina derby, former Podbara player Nenad Grbic scoring three tries.



Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) are second, also on six points, after a 30-12 victory over Belgrade University; Milenkovic with two, Bulajic, Todosijevic, Djordjevic and Radakovic scoring their touchdowns.



Last year’s champions Dorcol Spiders hit top form to crush Nis 76-0, scoring 15 tries with Stevanovic and Radovanovic grabbing trebles and Kikanovic 20 points from a try and eight goals.



Car Lazar from Krusevac are the other new side in the competition.



Championship action takes a break for the next two weekends with first the Serbian State of Origin Game 1 the major attraction on Sunday, 2nd May when Vojvodina take on Belgrade.



The following weekend, 8th / 9th May, there are the quarter finals of the Serbian Cup with Crvena Zvezda vs University of Belgrade, Car Lazar vs. Nis, Radnicki vs. Podbara and Military Academy vs. Dorcol.
