By CHRIS BARRETT - Sydney Morning Herald Kangaroos' test centre Greg Inglis is expected to be ruled out of the Four Nations tournament in Australia and New Zealand to undergo surgery on a long-term shoulder injury. Inglis will line up for Melbourne against Newcastle at AAMI Park on Sunday in what will be his final appearance for the Storm before heading to the Broncos next season. It is expected he will then go under the knife to repair a troublesome shoulder that has bothered him all year, although a final call is yet to be made. Inglis's absence for Australia would leave Jamie Lyon (Manly) and Michael Jennings (Penrith) as good chances to fill the centre positions in the Four Nations, with Dragons pair Matt Cooper and Mark Gasnier, and Warrior Brent Tate the other leading candidates. www.stuff.co.nz |
