Championship Trophy for the first time after the club’s NYC side destroyed bottom-placed Parramatta 52-6 in the last round of the regular season.

The result lifted the Vodafone Warriors to 67 points in the competition which combines points accrued in both the NRL and NYC.
It took them four points clear of nearest challengers the Sydney Roosters, who play their final two regular season matches against the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville tonight.
Tonight’s performance, the third time the Vodafone Junior Warriors have topped 50 points in a game this year, also gives the side a chance of claiming the NYC minor premiership for the first time. They moved to 37 points after 16 wins, a draw and seven losses to take them one point clear of South Sydney. If the Rabbitohs draw or lose to St George Illawarra tomorrow, the Vodafone Junior Warriors will secure the minor premiership to cap an exceptional year for the side and for the club generally.
The feature of tonight’s 10-try rampage was a three-try haul on debut by centre Joe Mua. He had a double inside three minutes midway through the first half and completed his treble eight minutes from time.
After scoring five tries, the Vodafone Junior Warriors were 24-0 ahead at halftime and simply went on with the job in the second spell. Winger Elijah Niko grabbed a double while centre Siuatonga Likiliki, this week named in the NYC Team of the Year, also scored to lift his tally for the season to 18 tries in 22 appearances.
Among the other scorers was hard-working prop Neccrom Areaiiti, who scored the last try of the match and his first of the season.
In topping 50 points, the Vodafone Junior Warriors took their points total for the year past 700 while they have finished the regular season with the best defensive record, conceding only 481 points.
